Description

Mapei Mapeproof Primer is a professional, one-component, ready-to-use PVDC-based dispersion primer designed to control residual construction moisture in internal cementitious substrates before applying levelling compounds, smoothing products or adhesives. It dries rapidly to form a waterproof surface membrane that helps prevent residual moisture from affecting subsequent floor coverings such as glue-down LVT, vinyl, carpet and tiles.

This primer is particularly suitable where residual moisture content is up to 4.5 CM-% or 95 % relative humidity (RH), and where early covering is desired. It can be applied quickly with a roller and does not require mixing before use, making it a practical choice for both trade and professional applications.

Once fully dry, Mapeproof Primer provides an effective damp-control membrane that levelling compounds and adhesives can be applied over, helping to safeguard bonded flooring installations on substrates with elevated moisture levels.
