Double Smoked Oak Plank, Brushed & Lacquered – 150mm x 18mm Solid Wood Flooring

Our Double Smoked Oak Solid Wood Plank delivers a noticeably deeper, richer tone than standard smoked oak. The extended smoking process intensifies the natural tannins within the timber, creating darker brown shades that run through the wood rather than sitting on the surface.

The result is a floor with real depth and variation. Some boards display bold grain movement and darker heartwood tones, while others remain more subtle — giving the installation a natural, layered appearance once laid.

Manufactured from 100% solid oak at 18mm thickness, this is a traditional solid wood floor designed for glue, nail or secret-fix installation over suitable subfloors. It offers substance underfoot and can be sanded and refinished over its lifetime. As with all solid timber flooring, it is not recommended for use over underfloor heating due to natural expansion and contraction.

The surface is brushed to highlight the oak’s grain pattern and natural character. A durable lacquer finish seals the timber, providing enhanced surface protection and easier day-to-day maintenance compared to oiled finishes. The sheen level remains controlled, allowing the depth of colour to stand out without appearing glossy.

The 150mm plank width keeps proportions balanced and versatile, working well in both traditional homes and more contemporary settings. Mixed lengths between 300mm and 1200mm create a more natural installation pattern.
