Our Smoked Oak Plank in 150mm width offers a deeper, more character-led take on classic oak flooring. The smoking process enriches the natural tannins within the wood, creating warm brown tones that run through the grain rather than sitting on the surface. The result is depth, movement and subtle colour variation that feels authentic rather than stained.

At 14mm thick with a 3mm solid oak wear layer, this engineered construction delivers stability without compromising on real wood presence. It’s suitable for use over underfloor heating and performs reliably in modern UK homes where temperature fluctuations are common.

The brushed surface enhances the natural grain pattern, gently opening it up to reveal texture and detail. Finished with hard wax oil, the floor retains a natural, low-sheen appearance while allowing the timber to breathe. This type of finish is also easier to maintain and locally repair compared to lacquered alternatives — particularly useful in busy family spaces.

The 150mm plank width keeps proportions balanced, making it suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors. Random board lengths between 300mm and 1200mm create a natural installation pattern once fitted.
